Design refresh / platform upgrade
2025
Project Overview
After a designing and building a custom site for Loving Little Minds in 2021 (see below), we refreshed the site's design and successfully launched an updated version in 2025 on a new platform. The site continues to support their mission of bringing diverse children's books into homes and provide users with ways to donate, get involved, and sign up to receive books.

Platform Upgrade and Migration
Because of a discount program offered to nonprofit organizations, the site was migrated to Wix. We took care of migrating all content, transferring the domain, and setting up the site's backend. Donation, subscriptions, and program sign-ups were streamlined and provide a cohesive user experience when interacting with the site's different functions.

Website Redesign
The updated design is a true refresh of the site's original look and feel. It maintains a colorful palette but with fresh, vibrant tones, bold rainbow elements. The heading font, logo, and much of the site's copy remained the same.
The updated imagery represents a rich, diverse audience and illustrates the positive influence of books on children and families.
Custom Site Design and Build
2021
Project Overview
Loving Little Minds Home Library Project was created in 2020 and quickly grew. With a mission to bring diverse children's books into homes, they needed a website that would help expand their reach, manage their flourishing community, and provide users with ways to donate, get involved, and sign up to receive books.

Content Strategy
Working with the organization's founders, we created a content strategy that focuses on the mission-driven nature of their work. With clear, empowering messaging, testimonials, and content that features their catalogue of diverse books, the site gives users a sense of advocacy and agency in helping create a better world for future generations.

Website Design and Branding
The design is inspired by the nonprofit's target audience—children. With a rainbow of colors and whimsical font, the website's design is light, functional, and meant to inspire creativity and imagination.
The website's imagery and tone intentional about representing multiple ages, races, genders, and abilities. It celebrates diversity and childhood, reflecting the organization's mission of inspiring the wonder of books and opening up children to diverse cultures, points of view, and people.
